Tried and True Coffee Company
Surprise! Corvallis has more coffee venues than just Starbucks and Dutch Bros. Tried and True is a local coffee shop located in downtown, and they recently just opened a new location in south town. Known for their adorable decor and staple turquoise accent color, Tried and True is genuinely one of a kind. Their baristas are always friendly and inviting, the coffee is brewed to perfection and the cafes are extremely aesthetically pleasing. It is the perfect place to go on a coffee date with friends and family, or to just hang out and study. Not to mention it makes for a perfect Instagram picture. You’ll leave wanting to come back for more. Check Tried and True out!
The Broken Yolk Cafe
Known as the best breakfast around town, Broken Yolk serves creative breakfast dishes from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. weekly. What’s better than breakfast for lunch? The environment is family friendly and the walls are decorated with eclectic artwork creating a unique atmosphere. Their homemade jam is to die for, and they proudly serve delicious 100% certified organic and fair trade coffee by Cafe Mam. One of BD’s favorite dishes is the Slamwich, and that includes grilled Texas-style French toast with cheddar, Swiss, scrambled eggs, and bacon, sausage or ham, sprinkled with powdered sugar. Yum!
Have a sweet-tooth that you can’t shake? Head on over to Le Patissier, our local French pastry shop! If you’re in the mood for some sweet, freshly made pastries this is the place for you. With an authentic French atmosphere, Le Patissier provides an exceptional experience for their customers. Accompany your delightful pastry with some coffee, wine or even craft beer. Not that into pastries? No worries! They also serve savory options such as croissant sandwiches or a quiche and side salad.
Tokyo Japanese Steak House and Sushi Bar
Sushi, steak, shrimp, bento boxes, edamame and mochi ice cream? Enough said. Tokyo Steakhouse is a wonderful option if you’re craving Japanese cuisine. Not only is there an abundance of delicious options, the chefs cook your order right in front of you on a hibachi grill! The interactive quality of the chef cooking your meal right before your eyes is very memorable and provides an element of entertainment to your dining experience. The restaurant can easily accommodate large groups, so get your friends together and go have some grilled Japanese food!
Block 15 Brewing Co.
Located downtown, Block 15 is a tasty bite with a laid back brewpub environment serving a mix of yummy dishes to pair with their various beers. Block 15 serves craft beers including delicious lagers and IPAs. To go along with their refreshing drinks, you can order a tender burger, nachos, pulled pork sandwich, soup and more. Adding to the laid back environment, they even have tables that you can doodle on while you eat! They are known around Corvallis for not only having outstanding beer, but amazing french fries as well. With outdoor seating they are the perfect place to grab a bite to eat in the spring term sunshine. Yes, believe it or not we do eventually get sunshine here in Corvallis!
