College students drink a lot of coffee. It’s our rite of passage as students to fuel our sleep deprived bodies with espresso as often as possible. Everyone has their favorite go-to coffee drink order, but sometimes that can get a little boring. Here are 10 crazy coffee creations that can help you spice up your order and keep you awake all day.

1. White Mocha Coconut Milk Macchiato

This drink is a spin off of the Caramel Macchiato. It simply replaces regular milk with coconut milk and adds white chocolate flavoring. It’s guaranteed to make any macchiato a tasty treat.

2. A Dirty Chai with Caramel and Vanilla

Dirty Chai is a chai beverage with a shot of espresso mixed in. Travis Dryden, an Oregon State senior, orders this drink and says, “It’s perfect for the holidays.”

3. Shot in the dark

This is coffee with a shot of espresso. Normally creamer or milk is added to this drink. It’s just like a regular coffee, but with a kick in it if the average cup of joe isn’t enough.

4. Captain Crunch Frappuccino

This is a wacky version of a frappuccino. It is mixed with toffee nut and hazelnut syrup with strawberry. Captain Crunch Frappuccino is a great way to start your day!

5. The 50 Cent Drink

This is a great way for college students to save money. This drink is blended ice with strawberry puree. This can also be done with straight espresso; it is like a smoothie but cheaper.

6. Cotton Candy Frappuccino

This one is on the secret menu at Starbucks. According to Ashlie Cooper, a junior at Oregon State University who’s been a barista at Starbucks for three years now, “This drink is one of my favorites and contains vanilla bean and raspberry flavoring.” This drink is great if you want to feel like every sip is a sweet treat.

7. Poor Man’s Kicker

This is a drink for the Dutch Bro’s lovers. This contains white coffee with cream and Irish cream. It only costs $2.50 instead of $4.50 for an actual “Kicker”, but it tastes the same.

8. Passion Tea Lemonade Frappuccino

This delicious summer drink is blended into a frappuccino instead of being poured on ice. It’s one of the classics, but with a slight twist.

9. The Espresso Tonic

This coffee masterpiece combines tonic water on ice with a few shots of espresso. Adding tonic water to your coffee can spice up any regular espresso drink and give the drink a brown frothy consistency.

10. The Horchata Latte

This is a latte that combines rice milk, vanilla, sugar, and Horchata flavoring. This is currently trending all over the Pacific Northwest. If you’re looking for an authentic Spanish taste in your coffee, this is your new go-to drink.
