Holiday foods range drastically from culture to culture and family to family.
On a cold, mid-October Thursday morning, people on campus shared their favorite foods from their own personal traditions.

Andrea Piña
Andrea Piña, a first year Pre-Interior Design major, said that their favorite holiday food is “tamales” at Christmas time.

Daniel Hamman
Daniel Hamman said that their favorite food is the stuffing at Thanksgiving. He spoke about his favorite stuffing, “There’s one my mom used to make, she would cut up bread, and put it in the oven.”

Olivia Rice
Olivia Rice, a first year Kinesiology major, spoke of her family’s homemade pumpkin pie as their favorite holiday food.

Brooke Musil
Brooke Musil, who is currently exploring majors, talked about canned green beans being one of their favorite holiday foods.
“My mom, when I was younger, used to just give me a can of green beans, and I would just eat them like a snack. And so, I put up a fight every year to make sure that corn doesn’t replace that on the table.” Brooke said.

Cayden Moss
Cayden Moss, a first year Environmental Science major, said that homemade pumpkin pie was his favorite holiday food.

Hamza Elgharabli
When Hamza Elgharabli was asked about their favorite holiday food, he replied, “A good Mac and cheese on Thanksgiving, that is what I look forward to the most.”

Dave Collett
When Dave Collett, a sixth year instructor in the math department at Oregon State University, was asked about his favorite festive foods, Collet said he liked Thanksgiving dinner.
“I mean the whole thing, you know,” Dave said. “The turkey, the gravy, the mashed potatoes, the salads…”

Grace Bock
Grace Bock said that her favorite holiday food was deep-fried turkey.

Will Huggins
Will Huggins said that the Thanksgiving turkey was one of his favorite holiday foods.
