Tired of pretending that your bed is a productive place to study? Here’s a list of some favorite study spots on campus and around Corvallis.
On campus
- Women’s building lobby: beautiful space with a cozy atmosphere. Great for quiet solo studying.
- Austin hall: lively and modern. This is the business building but is open to all majors. Much better for a collaborative work environment. Home to Trader Bing’s Cafe to get a bite to eat during those long study sessions.
- Memorial Union: So many study spots for both individual and group study. Lots of food options and outlets.
- Library: There are many resources such as the worm and mole holes to help with physics and chemistry. There are also bookable study rooms so that you’re guaranteed a quiet place.
- Learning Innovation Center: Flexible space that can meet the needs of many students with fun chairs and different environments.
Off campus
- Interzone: A coffee shop just off of campus on 15th and Monroe. Cozy atmosphere with a wide selection of drinks and treats.
- Greenhouse Coffee and Plants: having plants in a study environment can help boost productivity and dopamine. Another place with a wide variety of food and drinks as well.
- Bodhi Cafe: Locally owned and operated cafe with free wifi. Outdoor and indoor seating.
- The great outdoors: This is weather dependent cause we live in Oregon but, go find a bench or bring a blanket to a field and lock in there. Set up a hammock or a picnic and get that vitamin D while studying.
