Get Excited: You’re Single on Valentine’s Day

Brittni Cooper

It’s the day before Valentine’s Day and you still haven’t sealed the deal with that special someone. This may seem like the worst possible thing to some of you, but let’s be real: being single rocks. Here are some ideas on how to make the most of a single February 14th (while you still can).

Indulge at the Movies

Are you a sucker for romantic comedies and dramas? The best love movies are always released around Valentine’s Day. Check Fandango.com for local theater listings and catch a flick! Don’t forget the popcorn.

Swipe Right

If the people in relationships are all out on dates for the holiday, what are the singles up to? Swiping left and right on Tinder, of course. This is a great opportunity to meet a potential love interest. Branch out of your comfort zone and spend Valentine’s Day with someone new!

Call Your Friends

This one seems obvious, but get together with friends! Valentine’s Day is a perfect excuse to spend quality time with your fellow single friends.

Call Your Ex (or Don’t)

Maybe your last relationship didn’t burn up in flames and the two of you are still on good terms? Give them a call.

Maybe don’t do that. It seems a bit risky, especially if you’re 21 and taking part in Tiki Tuesday tomorrow at the Downward Dog. You do you though!

Reflect

Spend some time focusing on yourself and what you want. Journaling is a great way to collect your thoughts and really narrow down what you’re looking for in a relationship. Best piece of advice? Never settle. Ever.

Live

It’s just another day. Make it a great one.
