Eating healthy on a budget can be rather difficult because, well, let’s be honest, eating healthy is expensive. Have no fear! We are here to give you 5 places around Corvallis that are healthy, but don’t break the bank.

1. Laughing Planet Cafe

Located downtown, Laughing Planet is a wonderful option for all different diets. They serve “creative, globally influenced” burritos and bowls, and have plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. The most expensive meal on the menu is only $9.50. Affordable prices serving sustainable, natural food can’t be beat!

2. Nearly Normal’s Gonzo Cuisine

A “handcrafted veggie restaurant”, Nearly Normal’s is a great healthy option. With a wide variety of food, everyone is bound to find something they like. The menu ranges from falafel and sun burgers, to tempeh and quesadillas. Using all natural and organic ingredients when possible, they never fail to be relatively easy on the wallet while also being easy on the waist.

3. Interzone

With a laid-back vibe, Interzone is a great place to hang out, socialize or even study as they are open until midnight every night. They have free wifi, organic ingredients and breakfast is served until 5:00 p.m.—it doesn’t get much better than that. If you’re looking for a quick, healthy snack check out Interzone located right on Monroe Street across from campus.

4. Bellhop

With an amazing range of affordable foods, Bellhop is a one-of-a-kind restaurant. There’s a large range of cheap and healthy options, but also some dishes to eat on your cheat day. Both unique salads and pastas as well as the traditional fried chicken are served. The most expensive item on the menu is only $15.00, so if you’re dining on a budget and on a diet, check out Bellhop!

5. Burgerville

If you’re going to eat fast food, Burgerville is the way to go. No, you can’t get a hamburger for a $1.00, but the little bit of extra money you pay is totally worth it. They serve higher quality beef and use ingredients that are local and sustainable. Fast food is never necessarily healthy, but Burgerville is the healthiest option out there. Also, can we talk about their fry sauce.
