The Vietnamese Student Association will be holding their 52nd annual culture show this Sunday in the Memorial Union Ballroom, with doors opening at 4:30 p.m. and the show starting at 6 p.m.
In past years, the VSA culture show has had a theme. This year, the theme will be Một Đêm Mộng Mó: Unveiling the Red Carpet, and attendees are expected to arrive in black tie attire for the “glamourous” night, according to the Oregon State University tickets website.
The show itself will showcase the talents of OSU’s Vietnamese community.
Group dances, combination dances (with men and women), and men and women’s respective dances will be performed.
“I’m excited to see our dance groups perform,” said Hannah Luu, an executive board member and third-year biochemistry major, who will be performing a song.
Part of the show will also include a skit following the story of a Vietnamese-American Celebrity Chef on a journey to reconnect with their Vietnamese heritage.
In addition to the show, the VSA has collaborated with their sponsors, Pho Hanoi and Can Tho, to provide dinner free of charge. The food service will begin at 5 p.m.
Tickets are available to students for free here.
