Best Time to Work Out

The most asked question–what is the best time to go to Dixon? According to a recreation center employee, the best time to beat the crowd is before 12:00 p.m. For those who aren’t so fond of waking up early, the night crowd begins to fade after 9:00 p.m.  

Fit Passes

Couldn’t get into that yoga PAC class this term? Have no fear! For only $50 you can purchase a fit pass for the entire term. Fit passes give you unlimited access to all classes provided by Dixon. These classes include yoga, cycling, Zumba, as well as their most popular class Bodypump, and more!

Early Birds and Night Owls Welcome

The earliest classes start at 6:30 am so you early birds head down to Dixon and get the worm. For you night owls, no worries! Classes run all throughout the day, the last class starting as late as 8:00 p.m.

There’s More than Meets the Eye

Don’t forget Dixon provides more than just treadmills and squat racks! Make sure to check out the rock climbing center, the volleyball courts, the racquetball rooms, and even take a dip in the pool.

Personal Trainers

Need a little extra help or guidance in the gym? Dixon provides several personal trainers who are eager to help you be a happier, healthier you. To make an appointment look over the trainer profiles located at the front desk and pick the one that is right for you.

Eat Right

To see progress on your fitness goals, it is said to be roughly 20% in the gym and 80% in the kitchen. If you are ever wondering what to eat before or after a workout take a look at the diet board in the weight room. 

Pedal Power

By using one of the 22 ellipticals in Dixon, you can actually generate renewable energy that can be fed back into the power grid. According to Brandon Trelstad, OSU’s sustainability coordinator, 3,500 kilowatt hours of electricity are produced in a year.
