The Downtown Corvallis Farmers Market will return April 18 and will run every Saturday and Wednesday from 9 am to 1 pm until November 25. The location remains the same as previous years in Corvallis, running down 1st and Jackson street. The market is only a 20 minute walk from the east side of campus.
The market takes a variety of currencies. Some locations take cash and credit or debit cards. For the stalls that are unable to take credit or debit cards, the market booth can transfer credit card funds to wooden tokens. Furthermore, SNAP is matched up to 20$ a day in vouchers along with Double Up Food Bucks, a 2$ voucher. Most vendors also take WIC and Senior vouchers from June to November. The Corvallis Farmers Market is the largest of the three farmers markets in the area and is made up of stands selling products like fresh produce, dairy, meats, honey, bakery items, handmade goods and much more.
The Corvallis Albany Farmers Market website says “since its founding in 1991, the Corvallis Farmers’ Market has been a crucial building block of the Riverfront revitalization project, providing a platform for local farmers to sell their goods while creating a sense of community and pride in the area.”
